Nabalu Market Town
The 15-Meter watch tower of Nabalu is so prominent at the roadside that every motorist passing by will notice it. Nabalu town is one of the best spots to see Mt. Kinabalu and its adjacent landscape. Tour Guides also like to bring climbers here for a “preview” of the mountain before the climb. Another reason that draws the tourists to Nabalu Market Town is the handicraft and food markets in Nabalu. The price is cheaper than city, provided that you have good bargaining skill.
Desa Cattle Farm
Located at the foothill of Mount. Kinabalu, you can envision an amazing scenery overlooking the green pastures laying by the mighty Kinabalu Mountain under the blue sky.
While enjoying the refreshing cold breeze, it is a plus with the delicious yogurt ice cream. Besides, it is definitely a good place to take photo with stunning view. Desa Cattle Dairy Farm is also known as Little New Zealand in Sabah. The cattles here are Holstein Friesian, the world’s highest-production dairy cattle breed. The farm is 199 hectares wide.
Rabbit Village
Are you a bunny lover? Do you love to be surrounded by lots of bunnies? “Arnab” means rabbit in the Malay language. As the first Arnab Village in Sabah, the farm offers tourists and guests with more than 400 rabbits to cuddle! There are quite a number of local and imported species ready to compete for your attention for cuddles. The best thing is, you will be a bunny Rockstar with your “fans” surrounding you as long as you have rabbit food in your hands! Unfortunately, once your food runs out, so will the bunnies!
Poring Hotspring is about 13 kilometers from Ranau or about 40 kilometers from the Kinabalu National Park Headquarters in Kundasang. The hot springs is actually part of the huge Kinabalu National Park. The Poring Hot Springs was first developed by the Japanese during World War II and has progressed gradually to become one of the top tourist destinations amongst foreigners and locals alike. The hot waters of the spring contain sulphur are piped into open-air Japanese style baths where you can rest your tired limbs after the long hours and strenuous climb up the Mount Kinabalu.
The Canopy Treetop Walk invites you to witness the grandeur of a hundred million-year-old rainforest, from a 105m length walkway suspended 30 meters above lush jangly tangles. Take in the sights and sounds and discover unique rainforest creatures from a bird’s eye view. Also, keep an eye out for some rare feathered beauties. A 20 minutes hike is needed to reach the Canopy Walkway.
Tagal Fish Massage in the Local Kadazan Dusun dialect, ‘tagal’ means ‘no fishing’, and the main purpose of the ‘tagal’ is to preserve the environment as well as the ecosystem to benefit the future generation. ‘Ikan Pelian’ or Malaysian Mahseer comes from the family of Cyprinidae. These fishes are specifically trained by the villagers to perform the healing massage activities. The fish massage is deemed to have a curative effect on those who suffers from psoriasis. Come to Kampung Luanti for regular fish massages and you will enjoy smoother and suppler skin – just like a baby’s bottom.

Mari-Mari Cultural Village
The village is located about 25 minutes away from the city. Journey will take you to long roads surrounded by a rich spectrum of greenery and overarched by wild blue skies. In the village, the colors of cultural diversity are not an issue but rather our pride, where you can savor the soul of Sabah.
Upon arrival at the entrance of the village, you will be ushered to the warmth of different homes of the ethnicities of Sabah. Each home was built by descendants of the tribes they represent and offer you a truly genuine experience seeing everything in and around the village lends to its magical powers of taking you back in time. Acquaint yourself with each tribe as they let you come into their house and their simple yet intricate lives.

Tanjung Aru Beach
One of the best loved beaches in Kota Kinabalu and is especially popular at the weekends. You will find a long stretch of sand here that backs onto the water, although this is more of a place to come and relax rather than go swimming, as the visibility and cleanliness of the water is much better at the neighbouring islands. Instead, come to Tanjung Aru Beach for a leisurely walk along the sand at sunset, or to get a drink at one of the bars that line the coast. You will also find a number of street food stalls here and this is a great place to try some local snacks.

DAY 03

Monsopiad Cultural Village & Klias Wildlife Safari Cruise

Monsopiad Cultural Village
The village is dedicated to Monsopiad who was a famous Kadazan warrior who would have been alive some 300 years ago and legend has it that he killed some 42 attackers who were trying to invade the village. To that end, you can even view 42 skulls here which are located in a rather gruesomely named Hall of Skulls. It is around 30 minutes outside of Kota Kinabalu and offers a glimpse of life in a traditional Kadazan village, one of the indigenous groups in Sabah.

Proceed to:
Kota Klias Peninsular (approximately 112km from Kota Kinabalu city), situated between Beaufort and Kuala Penyu. It will be a scenic 2 hours ride, passing local villages, fruit stalls, and small towns.
Some local Hi-tea favourites await upon arrival at the jetty, before you get those binoculars on stand-by and ready for your safari river cruise.
Mosey down the Klias river in an open boat. Your tour guide will be there to point out any exciting wildlife sightings and share interesting facts. Keep your eyes peeled for the elusive long-nosed proboscis monkey, long-tailed macaques, and birds such as Kingfishers, darters, and eagles. You will be able to differentiate the female and male proboscis monkeys by their behaviour.
After the exciting river cruise, enjoy a sumptuous dinner by the river lodge, typically consisting of meats marinated in different styles, rice, potatoes, and vegetables.
As darkness sets in, board the boat again to witness and be amazed by nature's Christmas lighting, the fireflies! Depending on weather conditions, you might even spot nocturnal animals like the flying fox and night bats.

DAY 04

Sapi Island Excursion

Pick up from Hotel lobby and transfer to Jetty.
0930hr - Board boat for about 10-15minutes to Sapi Island
Sapi Island is one of the most popular places in Sabah to swim, snorkel and relax and it is just 20 minutes boat ride away from Kota Kinabalu. Sapi is one of the five islands making up the Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park, a national park established in 1974 covering 50 sq. km of the islands and their surrounding reefs.
With crystal-clear waters and a colourful marine life, this island is an excellent venue for all kinds of water sports. The whole day is yours to enjoy at your leisure, whichever way you prefer - picnicking, snorkelling, or just relaxing on the beach.
Also included in the package is a sumptuous barbecue lunch by the sea.
Spend the day for your own leisure: Go swimming, snorkelling or just laze yourself or suntan at the white sandy beach. Short and simple trails are available for your own option if you wish.
After lunch, continue your free leisure time before departure.
1500 hrs: Board boat from island jetty to Kota Kinabalu mainland and transfer back to your hotel.
Note: Recommended items to bring: insect repellent, drinking water, hat, sun block, camera or video, swim wear, towel and good walking shoes or sandals. Evening, transfer for dinner at a local restaurant.

DAY 05

Mantanani Island Day Trip

Pick up from hotel and transfer to Jetty Rampayan at Kota Belud approximately 1 ½ hours’ drive.
Upon arrival, enjoy boat transfer which takes about 50 minutes from jetty Rampayan to Pulau Mantanani.
Pulau Mantanani
The term ‘diver’s paradise’ may sound trite, but Mantanani Island is exactly that and more. As you plunge into the Mantanani underwater world, you’ll be simply mesmerized by neon coloured fish in intoxicating swirls, adorable clownfish playing hide and seek amidst the sea anemones, vivid coloured finger corals waving about, and vast garden of living coral reefs.
Each dive site in Mantanani offers something unique. For underwater photography enthusiasts, the view is simply to-die-for—topped off with excellent visibility.
After a whole day of diving, snorkelling or kayaking, sit back and feast your eyes on the gorgeous layers of orange hues penetrating the clouds as the sun sets.
Upon arrival, have some refreshment before changing cloths and onboard the boat to visit dive and snorkel site.
Enjoy two boat snorkels with exemplary views near the dive sites. Afterwards enjoy lunch served at the Island.
Clean up before returning back to Kota Kinabalu at 1500hrs from the island.
Suggested things to bring: Sun block / tan lotion, swimming attire, towel, extra clothes for change, personal toiletries etc.
Return back to Hotel and rest.

Sabah Tea Garden
Located some two hours outside of Kota Kinabalu is the Sabah Tea Garden which is where you will find the delicious tea for which this region is famous. The tea garden encompasses a tea forest where you can learn how the amazing tea is made and you can also try some of the local blends and relax at the end of a tour with a soothing cup of the local brew. There is even a Sabah Tea Longhouse here and you can also take in the views of the mighty Mount Kinabalu in the distance.
