KOLKATA
Kolkata (formerly Calcutta) is the capital of India's West Bengal state. Founded as an East India Company trading post, it was India's capital under the British Raj from 1773–1911. Today it’s known for its grand colonial architecture, art galleries and cultural festivals. It’s also home to Mother House, headquarters of the Missionaries of Charity, founded by Mother Teresa, whose tomb is on site.

ARRIVE KOLKATA
Meeting by local representative on arrival and assistance at the airport. Transfer to hotel for check in.

DAY 02

DARJELING
After breakfast check out hotel and transfer to airport to board flight to Bagdogra. On arrival at Bagdogra airport warm traditional welcome and assistance by our local representative and transfer to Darjeeling.
Darjeeling - is a town in India's West Bengal state, in the Himalayan foothills. Once a summer resorts for the British Raj elite, it remains the terminus of the narrow-gauge Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, or “Toy Train,” completed in 1881. It's famed for the distinctive black tea grown on plantations that dot its surrounding slopes. It’s backdrop is Mt. Kanchenjunga, among the world’s highest peaks.
On arrival transfer to hotel and check in.
Evening free to visit mall or other local shopping center.
Overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 03
BREAKFAST
IN DARJEELING
Early morning approx around 4.00 am drive to Tiger hill to view the sunrise over Mount Kanchenjunga (28,208 feet which is world’s 3rd highest peak).
En-route back visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop.
Also visit the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Zoological Park (Thursday closed), Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee self- help Centre (Sunday closed), Tea Garden (outer view) and Japanese Temple (open 4 hours from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm).
Evening free for own activities.
Optional: Evening (4 PM - 6 PM) Toy Train Joy Ride can be done on this day at an additional cost.
(Tickets can be booked online through IRCTC [From DJ to DJRZ] and cab waiting charges would be applicable if required).
Back to hotel for overnight stay.
DAY 04

DARJEELING - GANGTOK (98 KM/04 HRS)
After breakfast drive from Darjeeling to Gangtok.
Gangtok - is the capital of the mountainous northern Indian state of Sikkim. Established as a Buddhist pilgrimage site in the 1840s, the city became capital of an independent monarchy after British rule ended, but joined India in 1975. Today, it remains a Tibetan Buddhist center and a base for hikers organizing permits and transport for treks through Sikkim’s Himalayan.
On arrival check in hotel.
Towards afternoon visit Changu Lake & Baba Mandir.
Back to hotel and overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 05
BREAKFAST
GANGTOK
After breakfast proceed for full day city tour starts at 8.30 am – 4.00 pm) covering Tashi view point, Ganesh Tok & Hanuman Tok, Ranka Monastery, Banjhakri Falls/Bakthang Falls, Cottage Industry, Flower show and Handicraft Centre.
After breakfast check out hotel and drive to Bagdogra Airport for departure to Kolkata.
Upon arrival at airport warm traditional welcome and assistance by our local representative.
Transfer to hotel for check in and thereafter relax and overnight.
DAY 07
BREAKFAST
KOLKATA – ONWARD DESTINATION
After breakfast check out hotel and drive to Victoria Memorial.
Victoria Memorial - is a large marble building, which is considered to be the pride of Kolkata. Built between 1906 and 1921, it is dedicated to the memory of Queen Victoria. Now, it is a museum and a popular tourist spot under the Ministry of Culture.
Also visit Fort William, the Indian Museum, and the Birla Planetarium and Howarh Bridge.
Later evening transfer to airport for departure to onward destination.
